About

Established in 2018-19 the Northcote Water Polo Club (NWPC) is passionate and growing club that seeks to provide an safe and inclusive club environment for anyone that wants to play water polo.

By encouraging participation in sport at both a social and competition level, the Club aims to improve the social, physical health and wellbeing of our members and their families and the community as a whole.

The Club has affiliations and support from Water Polo Victoria (WPV) and Water Polo Australia (WPA).

We are also running our first social adults group and hope to progress to a competitive team or two soon.

A good summary of the sport for juniors (including rules) has been developed by WPV and can be located here with a Parents and Carers Guide here or go to ur Learning Page

We have returned to the new Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC).

2019/20 Competition

During the 2019/20 Summer water polo season, the Club registered more than half of its members with Water Polo Victoria and fielded two U12 mixed teams in the Victorian Sub-Junior Water Polo Competition.

In their first season, both the Northcote Novas and Northcote Comets were very competitive with the Novas ending up third on the ladder and the Comets winning a majority of their games as well.

Testament to the skills acquired by our members, three U12 girls and two U12 boys were chosen to represent the Club in the U14 Water Polo Victoria (WPV) Development Program.
