AYC 2025 (U12 - U18)

The main club event in Aus, 2024 had 210 teams including NZ and USA.

For Northcote High U12/U16 requires the kids missing 3 days of term 3.  Monday and Friday are holidays.  QLD and Vic have school holidays ending at Easter so there is an overlap for U12/U16 teams.

Entry fees are approximately $3500 per team, 5 Days 2 games per day including finals and runs as two divisions (Gold and Green)

Loose  early estimates put the cost pp at around $2000-2500 for a team of 10, doing it in shared accomodation, as a team.  If a hotel is used you can expect that to go up signifcantly depending on your choice.  As its Easter things may go up on return flights.

Once we have an idea of numbers we can determine the following:

1. Team submission:  Experience shows that you need to get a full team together (10+) prior to attending, with a goalie.  Its also a requirement the team has a Coach and a team manager.  If the team cannot be built then the following can be applied:
2. Merge with another team:  Carried out last time when we combined with Uni Qld Barras
3. Draft:  Individuals submit themselves. 
   1. Teams that have nominated for players . 
   2. Player distribution is determined by WP AUS. 
   3. We picked up a player from this last year

Pool are located around Perth and quite central.  In Brisbane we used maxi taxis and some cars to get around.  Rental of a 12 seater is an option.

Learnings from Brisbane 

This is not a holiday event so any sighseeing that involves the players is best carried out before the tournament.  The schedule is quiet tiring. 

With the school holidays being prior then families can arrive earlier than the competition, when they want. 

This is a team based event so it would be preferable if a team is created they accomodate in the same or nearby location

• Team: Fremantle Jail dorm style or some such thing, self catering as per Brisbane
• Cominbed team - sort out with the other team
• Draft - whatever suits the players and their team location
